Bindis and Neon... Oh hell yea... Also Chanel shoes with coral for heels

I found this pic on Pinterest and I. Love. This. Look.  Bindis + Neon + Tribal print + Native looking braided hair + Bangles = Could it BE any more postmoderroyal?  I think not.  Someone PLEASE tell me where I can find this fab outfit... and....sorry.... just one critique: What's up with the footwear?  This season is all about shoes as detailed as the clothes themselves.... Maybe the below, by Chanel?

"Pizzazz" Gabor - Dress like a Misfit

Outfit inspired by "Pizzaz" Gabor in the music video "Universal Appeal",  from the 1980s animated series "Jem".  Halston Heritage draped strapless jumpsuit.  Marc Jacobs pillbox hat.  Custom "Jem" earrings. JCD thorny neon wedges.  V-Twin guitar made in Ed Roman' s Custom Shop.

Glowing

It looks like all you 80s and 90s kids are grown up and making MAD paper.  We were all about anything that glowed in the dark back then, and now, guess what? We can have it.... while still catering to our discerning tastes. Sometimes it's good to get older.  Glow-in-the dark Bentley convertible. Neon peep-toe pumps and tuxedo pants by Hudson LouLou. Glow-in-the-dark Giordano watch with diamond accents.  Kitten heels by Cheap Monday. Glowing nail lacquer at American Apparel

Packing for Palm Beach

I'm going to visit my parents in Florida for a few days so I needed to pack nice and light so as to not have to check my baggage (My two Chihuahuas and my Louis V. are more than enough for this single lady to handle).  Vintage Louis Vuitton overnight bag.  Gold, Marc Jacobs espadrilles. Leather peep-toe sling backs by Made Well.  Tory Burch tortoise shades.  Juicy Couture polkadot one piece swimsuit with grosgrain bow detail. Green Susana Monaco halter dress.  Hot pink cobra-back sundress by Millau for LF Stores.  Green and purple salwar kameez hand-made for me at Mebaz on my trip to Hyderabad, India last spring.

More sexy skulls: cocktail rings by DIor

Coolest. Rings. Ever.

Kerry Washington = best dressed 2013 Oscars

Kerry Washington's Miu Miu masterpiece takes my vote for best dress at the 2013 Oscars.  Gold and pink are my personal fav glam color combination, and this lady ROCKS it.  I love the iridescent sequins and clear crystals on the bodice. This dress is at once modern and mystical....almost fairylike.  Chopard jewels, Prada bag and Louis Vuitton shoes officially make this  effervescent award-day ensemble any fashionista's dream.

Shop like rabbits

I can not get enough of Fifi Lapin!  Somehow clothes modeled by a rabbit make me feel less self-conscious about my hips. ( I mean LOOK at those EARS :-P)  All of the styles you see on Fifi are actual, current brand-name couture from famous designers we all know and worship.  Prints like the one above, sold on her blog, are a darling conversation piece for any fashionista's day room.

Yum! Candy!

These yummy spring confections are so ladylike and princess-y.  What's not to love? The light floral tones are so true to the season that it is pretty much a given that these pieces will be in style for a long time.  See?  I justified the investment ;-) "Candy and Macrame" dress by Miu Miu.  Baby blue ballerinas by Miu MiuShourouk Memphis Necklace by Grethen House.  Silk-organza and lace peplum top by Prabal Gurung.  Original pink "Stella" watch by Rolex.  Flocked wool and cashmere blend sweater by Chloe. Emerald green "Caviar" briefcase by Chanel.

Deflect evil!

My mom's side of the family always kept bowls full of these talismans around their houses to fight off the evil eye. I find these updated styles to be a way to bring my old world traditions to my new world of fashion addiction.

You can have whatever you like...

Ok ladies, now that we have established we all love to look good, let's admit, whether or not we actually ARE royalty, we do not have an unlimited amount of cash to drop on every single new-fangled thing the perpetually evolving world of fashion throws our way.  That being said, we damn sure don't want anyone else knowing that ;-) Enter Bag, Borrow or Steal: a website which allows you to "borrow" (rent) or steal (purchase second hand), all of the handbags and accessories you covet.  This consistently offers the latest runway styles and couture labels we all love, starting at around $100 a month, delivered to your home and, guaranteed 100% authentic.  They also sell gift certificates which I, for one, would be ECSTATIC to receive. Big job interview? No problem: BAM! Chanel. Snooty friend's wedding? Alexander McQueen her right in her snooty face.... you get the point.... Have fun you thrifty bitches :-)

Neon bindis

Yet another Indian tradition I think westerners need to embrace.  Bindis are so pretty and feminine and you can add fashion forward to that list as well.  Buy yours here.

Be a hologram

Another dream of the 90s kid: to be decked out in holograms rather than just have a sticker book full of them.  From top left: Neon color block sweater, neutral jammie pants, holographic bags and white sleeveless blouse by Stella McCartney. One shoulder show-stopper by Hugo Boss.  Pointy-toe holograhic flats by ASOS.  3D bubble clutch by Stella McCartney.  Black and neon holgraphic dalman byMilly. 'Spaced out": silver, holographic a-line skrt by Emma Mulholland.  SIlved holograhic leggings byHussein Chalayan.

Look at 'em girls wit the daisy dukes on!

These studded denim shorts by Coal N Terry make me feel like a rock star.  The best part is they are super affordable for such a high-end look (around $150 a pair).  Wear them now with tights and boots and summertime with your favorite cut-off band tee.  With all the colors to choose from you can be confident one will match your personality and it will be highly unlikely to see other chicks wearing that exact pair :-) :-) :-)

Spring and Summer by Japan's hot chicks

I love Wakatsuki Chinatsu's take on spring and summer fashions for 2013.  Denim and yellow abounds which will make any girl feel like a pageant winner on her day off.    Just remember ladies, there's no need to go head to toe when you find a new designer you like.  I can see any of the pieces on the front two girls being easily incorporated to my existing wardrobe. For example, The yellow a-line skirt, on the second model, would look smoking hot with a simple white ribbed tank top and sandals for summer or with cowboy boots and an oversized sweater for spring.

One huge thing about this line, for me, is that, although typical "supermodels" (over 5'8") are on the runway here, these styles are actually made for more petite women.  If you look at their site you can see that the models they typically employ are of a more average height.  The taller girls almost look too tall for the skirt styles here.  Don't feel bad for the western models though-- they get plenty of work ;-)

Sparkle and shine

Here is a glitzy little number I am thinking of wearing to a party out at Foxwoods next weekend.  Sheer, white sleeveless blouse with embellished collar by Millau. Jingely crystal bracelet by J.Crew.  My mom's FAB vintage silver chainmail handbag. Perfect fitting, high-waisted indigo jeans by Carmar.

Please don't pee & poo

This sweater from Wakatsuki-Chinatsu is so freaking amazing.  Who thought that a top referencing peeing and pooping would ever work it's way in my wardrobe but.... here it is, apparently.  LOVE.
