Ashish Gupta's combination of quirk, sense of humor and sheer fabulosity earns him my favorite designer of 2014 award. Why, you may ask? Ummm..... Let's see..... Because: Nerd glasses, sequins, misanthropy, sequins, a chihuahua shirt, SEQUINS!!! and Pizzazz Gabor-style zebra-stripe hair. I was also delighted further to discover, what I thought was torn denim from afar, turned out to actually be even more sequins.

Holy Katrantzou!

Wild florals and outlandish silhouettes = 2014 Mary Katranzou. The topmost outfit, available here, is lovely, and actually wearable, where as the rest of the dresses are more.... ummm.... theoretical, for me. As in.... they represent the concept of a really cool dresses that, in a world free from all practical realities, someone might imagine possibly someday wearing.... Lastly, I must say, I am mad for the printed booties. With jeans and a floaty peasant top they could be really fun for summer. I like the rugged Timberland-like soles... VERY useful for walking the Boston cobblestones :-)

Fashion Week 2014 Top Ten

I'll be honest with you, 2014 is not the best fashion year ever, but these 10 looks (Mostly Burberry and Miu Miu) are so gorgeous and spot on my style, that they actually may be some of my all-time favorites. While many designers are trying to outfit us in boxy, unflattering tops and leg-shortening cropped trousers, these ensembles are both figure-flattering and feminine. So what will I rock in 2014? I'm thinking pastels, a bit of disco, thick, detailed lace and some shiny silk.

Crystal Embellished, Armored, Leopard and Neon #Sneakers for #Men @Saks

Crazy fab men's #sneakers at #Saks. Hot colors, metal details and crystal embellishment finally brings the level of spectacular we ladies take for granted in our footwear to our masculine counterparts. This was LITERALLY the first time I have ever been stopped dead in my shopping tracks while passing a men's shoe section. It was a surprisingly elating experience :-)
