I heart my new Sam Edelman shoes. They have everything I am looking for in party footwear for Spring/Summer 2013: Mod, two-tone, white & beige leather, rocker-style crystal embellishment, and a clear, acrylic stacked heel. I styled them with my matching bone clutch, by Coach, and a nude dress with purple lace overlay, for the Boston Fashion Awards VIP party.

Postmodern rainbow brite

A colorful number from New York Fashion Week 2013. Very interesting detail and breathtaking polychromasia.... She slightly reminds me of Rainbow Brite.... which is a good thing :-) :-) :-)

Postmodern Royal Cavalli = rhapsody in white.... or any color you like

Fringes, lace and classic, with silhouettes both ultra-femme and menswear-inspired, are just a few words I would use to embody Roberto Cavalli's exquisite collection for Spring/Summer 2013.  The incredible craftsmanship and detail of each individual piece is indicative of the conceptual artistry employed in the creative process. In most cases my attitude towards much that appears in couture runway shows tends towards admiration of the gifted marketing, models and showmanship used to essentially add more value to the various products displayed.  This line, however, is proof that you can, in fact, still get what you pay for.  I tried to provide the largest possible images to fully highlight the depth of the spectacular textures(!)

The samples here are only a small taste of the genius of Cavalli.  They inspire me because they allow me to make additional leaps of my own imagination.  I can picture them in any color on the spectrum..... The fringe leggings in neon pink.....  The lace, smock-front blouse in oceanic turquoise..... Simply view the rest of the the collection for a rich palette to choose from for your own musings..... *heart skips a beat*

Such a cool way to rock two of my favorite spring trends: icy pastels and over sized sweaters, modeled here by Hanna Hojman for ASOS. I like how they are paired with simple black pumps and bag since I already own both. 

PRADA - Spring Summer 2013

"10 Women - 1 perfect petal storm" = retro-cateye liner, bold prints and feminine/modern details.  Such a sexy video and collection. I think I am a tiger lily.  

Chanel Spring 2013 = so postmodern royal

Chanel's 2013 Spring line is exactly what I would have dreamed it would be.  Tasha Frankin is the perfect haute Flower Child in this shoot for Abbie Heath for L'officiel Singapore showcasing the new fashions for the upcoming season.  I absolutely heart the retro glam make-up and hair baubles as well as her "shoes" in the right hand frame.
